57 Main Street is Appointed as the Exclusive Importer and Marketer for the Gary Player “Major Championship Series of Wines”

Legendary golfer, Gary Player, the Black Knight, will launch his Major Championship Series of Wines in the US in April 2009. Gary Player, known as a fiercely dedicated golfer, has remarked on his outstanding golf career, “The harder you practice the luckier you get.” That same drive and determination is clearly displayed in the creation of the Gary Player Major Championship Series of Wines.
Critically acclaimed South African winery, Quoin Rock, winemaker Carl van der Merwe and famed South African artist Athol Moult, have joined together to create the unique wines that represent and capture the essence of the Black Knights achievements. Unveiled during the Blair Atholl Invitational last November, the limited production wines celebrate the 9 major championship victories the Black Knight has achieved.
In selecting a US importer for this exclusive line, Andrew Smith General Manager of Black Knight Wine Ltd, states: “In choosing an importer to partner with in the United States, Black Knight Wine sought out to find someone who had extensive experience not only in the wine industry but in dealing with South African brands as well…With 57 Main Street’s long-standing relationship with the Gary Player group, they were the logical choice to partner with in launching the first vintage of the Gary Player Major Championship Series wine label.”
