57 Main Street Imports Selected as Exclusive Importer of Noted Argentinean Wine Producer Telteca

57 Main Street Imports, one of the most vibrant, diverse and progressive importers of wine and spirits in the United States is pleased to announce its appointment as exclusive U.S. importer of noted Argentinean wine producer, Telteca.
Telteca is the translation of the native Huarpe for the noble algarrobo or carob tree. Always respectful of nature, the Huarpe revered the algarrobo for its fruit that helped them to survive the harsh Mendoza desert conditions.
Mendoza, where the bright sunshine and hot arid climate are ideal for the cultivation of the noble vine, is home to Telteca. Here, celebrated winemaker, Jose Pedro Gomez creates the unique wines of Telteca. These wines of the desert are young with an intense fruity character. Their strong varietal spirit provides a wonderful combination of intense aromas and lively colors that give Telteca its unique personality. A full range of Telteca wines will be introduced by 57 Main Street Imports in the Spring of 2009 including Telteca Gran Reserva, Telteca Anta Malbec Reserve and UMA (Mother Earth) which embodies the spirit of the land and protector of the harvest.
